Experience the uplifting power of community singing. Join us our warmly supportive circle to experience singing as self-care. We sing heart-opening songs from the oral singing tradition. You don't need to be an experienced singer to join us, nor do you need to know how to read music. (Shy singers, shower singers, steering-wheel tappers, school chorus alumni, are welcome!) All songs are taught by ear. Find out how good it can feel to let go and sing!
WHEN: Sunday, August 18th, 2024, 3:30 - 5PM. Bring a dish if you'd like to stay afterwards for a potluck dinner with Mothersong members past, present and future.
WHERE: We meet at a private residence in Pacifica, Sharp Park neighborhood, about 10 minutes south of Stonestown. (You'll get the address when you register.)
WHO IT'S FOR: We welcome women and nonbinary folks. This space is trans affirming. (Children of all genders are also welcome - just bring along a quiet activity for them to do in case they don't want to join in singing with the grown ups.)
COVID SAFETY: We'll sing outside. Masks are not required. If you've had a known COVID exposure, we ask that you take a COVID test the day of the event before joining us.
CONTINGENCY PLAN: In case of rain or poor AQI due to wildfire smoke, we will meet online
